Funeral services for Zola “Maxine” Copeland, 71 of Downsville, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God. Rev. Norman Riordan and Rev. Tracy Ables will be officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Maxine was born September 23, 1939 in Calhoun, LA. She never met a stranger. She loved her family and was a loving caretaker. She also loved Southern Gospel music. She passed away at home surrounded in the comfort of her family and went on to be with Jesus. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James Copeland and her parents Buddy and Bertha Frost. She is survived by her children; Mark Copeland and wife Melanie, Chrystal Copeland Cory and Jennifer Copeland Noble and husband Carl; and sister, Dixie Frost Hennington and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua and Wesley Copeland, Tyler and Hunter Cory. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with Kerry Jordan. Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
