Funeral services for Yvonne George Bass, 51 of Oklahoma City formerly of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Feazel Chapel at First Baptist Church West Monroe. Rev. Mark Fenn will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Yvonne was born November 30, 1961 in Monroe, LA and passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. She graduated from West Monroe High School and LA Tech and attended Mid America Seminary in Memphis, TN. Yvonne was employed by Bristol-Myers as a Pharmaceutical Representative and earned a trip to Rome, Italy as Top Sales Representative for the year. For the past decade she was a Home School Mom. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Sam Bass; son, Noah Bass; 2 daughters, Eden and Emily Bass; step-sons, Cody and Andrew Bass; mother and father, Voriece and Louis George; sister, Jennifer Bostick and husband Troy; brother, Bryan George; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers are nephews Austin George, Tyler George, Josh Bostick, Caleb Bostick; and Cody and Andrew Bass. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 noon until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or the charity of your choice.
