He was a good and loving man. My mother always talked of him singing Danny Boy to her when he visited Chris an Angela in Alabama. He will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss, Wyche and Peggy worked with me on the Miss. La. Pageant, and I have lots of memories of them , they were great supporters of the pageant. Each had a servant"s heart . God be with each of you as you say goodby to a great guy!

What a privilage it was to know and love Mr. Wyche. He and Miss Peggy opened their home, kitchen, grill, house and hearts to me and so many others over the years. Without their love, support, charity and, yes, lectures, I would have never made it through college. I always referred to them as my "college parents". Respecting their judgement, I brought my future husband to meet them and for approval. Laughter filled their home when Mr. Wyche would show us one of his new "inventions" while piddling in his shop or when he watched Andy Rooney Sunday nights. He loved his LSU Tigers so it was great when they won. He gave great advice and always had an ear or shoulder when you needed it. I know he is now in the arms of his loving wife Miss Peggy overwhelmed by God's glory. He was truly a Golden Person. My condolences to the family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Wyche and Peggy were our "other parents". They freely opened their home and their hearts to us throughout their lives. You always knew where you stood with Wyche as he was never one to mince words. If you got out of line, he would tell you to straighten up in the way only Wyche could. If there was a problem, he would listen patiently, contemplate the situation, and provide sound advice, usually ending our conversations with "Well Joseph, looks like you have some things to think about!" His laughter would fill a room and our times spent shooting pool or playing poker are some of my fondest memories. I hope he finds a comfortable place on Saturdays to enjoy a bowl of Miss Peggy's famous gumbo and watch his beloved LSU Tigers (not a chair but an open space because we all know he was a pacer during the games). Fair winds and following seas. We love you and will miss you so Mr. Ashcraft.

Seldom does one have the privilege to know a person so dedicated to integrity and honesty. Wyche was one of those people. I will miss his wisdom and story telling. May you rest in peace my friend and tell Jesus hello for all of us left here.
