Memorial services for Wyche Ashcraft, 88, of Monroe will be held at 6:30 PM Friday, June 23, 2023, at All Saints Anglican Church,4201 Forsythe Ave., Monroe, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, Monroe, with Father Terry Gatwood officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 PM prior to service. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Riverview Cemetery, Monroe, LA.
Mr. Ashcraft was born August 13, 1934. He is preceded in death by his mother, Winifred and father, Fletcher, Aunt, Violet Martin, and his wife of 57 years Peggy Tipton Ashcraft.
Wyche is survived by Sons Benjamin Fletcher Ashcraft, of Monroe, Christopher Wyche Ashcraft(Angela) of Mobile, AL., grandsons, Carson Wyche Ashcraft, Davis Crenshaw Ashcraft, Corey Fletcher Ashcraft, Christopher Mims Ashcraft, granddaughters, Mary Ashcraft Bates (Dyllan), Cameron Hope Ashcraft, and great granddaughters, Madelyn Nichole Ashcraft, and Sophie Ashcraft.
Wyche graduated with a BS in Chemistry from University of Louisiana at Monroe, and was a retired owner of Access Chemical Inc. He was a proud U.S Navy Veteran that served in the Korean War. Wyche had a servant’s heart and was a member of the Ouachita Council on Aging, Tin Can Sailors and founder of the ShinDig fund raiser for the Ouachita Council on Aging. He was a founding member of the All Saints Anglican Church and served on the Vestry.
Pallbearers will be Jay Tipton, Jeff Tipton, Joe Betar and Greg Yokum.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Hanson, Judge Bobby Harrison, James Bruno, Johnny James, Johnny Tipton, Mark Womack.
