William Gene Page was born July 28th, 1933, in Calhoun, La. and passed away February 19th, 2024, in West Monroe, LA after a brief illness. Nothing brought joy to William like his family did. He had 2 wonderful daughters who blessed him with 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The moments he lived for the most was spending time with his family and being papaw. William served his country in the Army National Guard and his community by devoting 36 years of service at the Paper Mill, where he worked devoutly as a Shift foreman. Once he retired in 1988, he and his beautiful wife, Dennie Vearl, had more time to devote to family. They took their grandchildren camping touring the countryside by RV every chance they got. He spent many of a day with his grandson fishing, was a member of the B.A.S.S. club and an avid wildlife hunter. William devoted his life to Christ and his church. He served in any aspect that he was needed. He was a devout mentor and a friend to many. To know William Page was a true gift.
William was preceded in death by his parents; Hollis and Virlee Page; his wife, Dennie Vearl Page; his daughter, Liz Page Eubanks.
William is survived by his brother, James “Tom” Page; his daughter, Debbie Hayslip and husband, Shelton; granddaughter, Nichole Lincoln and husband, David; grandson, Ryan Hayslip and wife, Holli; great-granddaughter, Breanna Dickerson; great-grandsons, Dylan Dickerson, Jase Dickerson, Reed Dickerson and Oliver Hayslip; with one more miracle great-grand due to arrive this September.
