Retired, CPO William C. Elmore Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA William C. Elmore, 84 of West Monroe, LA went to be with his Lord on April 24, 2007 at Glenwood Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2007 at Fair Park Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA with his two sons, Gary and Phillip Elmore officiating. Graveside services will be at Antioch Cemetery in West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home on Thursday, April 26, 2007. Mr. Elmore was born on June 6, 1922 in Prescott, AR, one of ten children born to Rev. Carl and Myrtie Elmore. Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Hilda Crowell Elmore, two sisters, Lavern Crocker and Agnes Hedden and one brother, Leroy Elmore. Mr. Elmore was a retired CPO Navy officer of 26 years, serving in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. He was the past Post Commander of DAV Post in Ouachita Parish. He was a member of the Fair Park Baptist Church. Mr. Elmore is survived by his wife of 10 years, Erlene Skipper Elmore. Children: Gary and Barbara Elmore of Mobile, Alabama, Kay and Donny Reeves of Marion, LA, Phillip and Sandra Kay Elmore of Atlanta, TX, Candace and Parker Henderson of LaGrange, GA and Jody and Marsha Elmore of Providence Village, TX. Sisters: Mary Johnson, Helen and Allen and Sybil Borne. Brothers: Donald and Laurie, George and Arie and Ralph and Billie Elmore. Grandchildren: Josh and Jill Elmore of Illinois, Seth and Sam Elmore of Atlanta, TX, Corby and Michelle of Start, LA, D.B. Reeves of Marion, LA, Matthew Key of Atlanta, GA, Katy and Ashley Mcleod of Lewisville, TX, Courtlyn and Brelyn Elmore of Providence Village, TX and Lauren Key of LaGrange, GA. Great-grandchildren: McKayla, Caroline and Owen Reeves and Davin Mcleod. Step-children: Darlene and Steve Wheat of Channelview, TX, Jackie and Karen Skipper of Angleton, TX and Helen and Ricky Nolen of Downsville, LA. 10 Step-grandchildren and 13 Step-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Memorials to be made to Fair Park Baptist or the Church of your choice.
