William A. “Bill” Shows, 74, of Marion, Louisiana, passed away at his home on June 8, 2023.  Mr. Shows was born to Eugene Thames and Eula Lee Taylor Shows on November 5, 1948 in Monroe, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, Louisiana.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville with Rev. Norman Bryant and Rev. Donald Reeves officiating.  Interment will follow at Eros Cemetery in Eros, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina Shows Fatheree; siblings, James Shows, Eva Jean Davis, Doris Cupit, Alvin Shows and Joe Shows.  Chief Shows proudly served many years as the Police Chief of Eros, Louisiana before retiring and moving to Marion.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Shows; sons, William Shows, II (Erin Boyd), of Smithville, Texas, Chris Shows (Cherie) of Marion, and Jason Shows (Jessica) of Swartz; grandchildren, Josh Shows, Kandy Fatheree, Susan Fatheree, Chelsea Fatheree, Aaron Fatheree, Caely Jones, Courtney Shows, Maecy Shows, Breanna Shows, Jason “Eli” Shows, and Justice Fatheree, all who blessed Bill and Marilyn with 22 great-grandchildren; and is also survived by a sister, Shirley Oglesby.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Fatheree, Josh Shows, Dillon Morrow, Jason “Eli” Shows, Tyler Hay, and Donnie Cupit.
