Graveside service will be held for Wilbur E. “Blackhead” Ganey at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Rocky Branch Cemetery with Bro. Donald Reeves officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Wilbur was born September 29, 1936 in Spencer, LA and passed away July 31, 2023 in West Monroe. He loved his family, working outdoors and woodworking. Wilbur was employed at Angus Plant for over 40 years. He served in the United States Army. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Mary Francis Ganey; wife Sybil Rogers Ganey; two half-sisters Lizzie Reeves and Elma Miller; brothers; Billy Joe Ganey and Buck Ganey; sister Eula Faye Morgan; 2 nephews Joe Dale and Wilbur Dale;
Wilbur is survived by his sister Mary Beth Fuller; sister-in-law; Sharon Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews.
