Graveside services for W.C. Blackwell, 76, of West Monroe, will be held at11:30 AM, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. Paschal‚ Cemetery. Lester Singleton will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mr. Blackwell was born February 1, 1938 in Bastrop, LA and passed away March 17, 2014 in West Monroe. He served in the United States Army and was stationed at White Sands Missile Range. Mr. Blackwell retired from International Paper with 44 years of service and was a member of IBEW-Bastrop, LA and Texarkana, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Singleton Blackwell.Mr. Blackwell is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dolores Fredieu Blackwell; children, Adam Blackwell and wife Julie, Amie Cherie Phillips; grandchildren; Anden Blackwell, Tyler Blackwell, Joseph Savage and Heather Savage; canine companion, Ruby; brother, Lester Singleton and wife Sharon; several nephews, several cousins and other family and friends.Visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
