Wanda Rose Allen The Lady on the Bike December 4, 1956 – July 13, 2013 Wanda fought a short battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at Glenwood Regional Medical Center on July 13, 2013. Wanda was born and raised in West Monroe, LA and graduated from Calhoun High School. Wanda was known as “the lady on the bike.” If you were around Monroe or West Monroe, you would frequently see her riding around town on her bicycle. Wanda always displayed love and care for her friends in the nursing homes and children's nursery at church. She would always make a special point to wish her loved ones happy birthday by sending her siblings, nieces and nephews a special birthday card to wish them a “happy birthday and many mores!” She was one of six children born to the late J.D. and Florence Allen. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents J.D. and Florence Allen and brother Ronald Allen. Wanda will forever be remembered by the love of her life, Randy Johnson and her beloved sibling's sister Patricia and brother-in-law Ernest Bond; brother Wayne and sister-in-law Annie Allen; sister Patsy and brother-in-law Bob Robinson; and sister Bonnie and brother-in-law James Dow; along with countless nieces, nephews, friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Pallbearers will include Jason Dow, Jonathan Dow, Jay Naron, Stevie Green, Dylan Douglas, and Daniel Powell Wanda touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
