Graveside service for Mr. Wallace Jarrell, 85 of Eros, LA will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Salem Cemetery, Eros, LA. Rev. R. C. Smith will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mr. Jarrell was born February 7, 1925 in Eros, LA and passed away August 3, 2010 in Eros, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Mattie Jane Bishop Jarrell, 14 brothers and sisters, a son, Wallace Jarrell, Jr. and wife, Nancy; grandson, Jacob Jarrell. He served in the United States Navy during World War II on a supply ship. Mr. Jarrell was retired after 42 years as an electrician with Riverwood. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Francine Steed Jarrell; daughters, Linda Truelove and husband Roger, Sandra Browder and husband Randy and Susan Miller and husband Paul; grandchildren, Travis Truelove, Tiffany Truelove, Jennifer Colvin, Kristen Miller and Karin Miller; brother, Fynious Jarrell and 6 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the Staff of Premier Hospice, Jackie, Amy, Zola, Keisha, Stephanie and Rev. Jeff Luellen. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Chatham, LA.
