Virginia Fontenot, 88, passed away November 29, 2022. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 5, 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pineville, Louisiana under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe. Rev. Norman Bryant will officiate.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Laura Whatley Cowart; sister, Anna Laura Brooks.

She is survived by children, Michael J. Fontenot and fiancé, Louann of Monroe, Louisiana and Rebecca Monroe and husband, Thomas of Marble Falls, Arkansas; niece, Donna Goshhorn.

Virginia was a faithful follower of God; she loved her family and friends. She was a teacher and was retired from the State of Louisiana Family Services.
