Funeral services for Vanessa Chapman White, 96, of Ruston, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Steve Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ruston, LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Vanessa was born May 30, 1924 in Alco, Louisiana and passed away October 11, 2020 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. White; parents Randolph and Ida Chapman; siblings, Lawrence, Bobby Ray, Kenneth and wife Mary, Jim, sister Margie and husband Buster Kees and sister-in-law Carolyn Chapman.

Vanessa was retired from Commercial Union Insurance. She was a member of the Ruston Church of the Nazarene and later in life became a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe.

Vanessa is survived by her children James Dale White and wife Patsy of West Monroe, Dianne Berger and husband Steve of Pineville, LA; grandsons Bradley White and wife Sharon of Lafayette, Colorado, Lance White and wife Amanda of Shreveport, Phillip Berger of Dallas, Texas, and Eric Berger of Baton Rouge, LA; 2 great-grandchildren, Corbin and Shepard White; siblings Sid Chapman and wife Pat of Spring Arbor, Michigan, and sister-in-law, Mary Chapman of Spring Arbor, Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brad White, Lance White, James LaBorde, Freddy LaBorde and Ken Williams.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
