Funeral services for TSgt Richard Dick Eugene Hancock, 81 of Farmerville, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 26, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Louis Bartet will be officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. TSgt Hancock was born January 17, 1931, in Lebanon, Indiana, and passed away on Monday October 22, 2012, in Farmerville, LA at the age 81. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and second wife. He is survived by 2 sons and families, 3 extended sons and families; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution may send to the Point Assembly of God in Downsville or Agape Hospice of West Monroe. Dick was one of the best and maybe the best friend my dad ever had. He was like another uncle to me and has and always will have a special place in my heart. He meant a lot to our family and him and John P. had a special bond and truly loved each other. Not every one gets to have as good a friend as those two were to each other in their lifetimes. God bless you all. I know you will miss your dad - but my dad is enjoying the heck out shootin the breeze with 'Hancock'!
