Graveside services for Troy Arthur Hendrix, 88, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 8, 2021 at Luna Methodist Cemetery, Luna, LA with Rev. Nathan Thornton officiating. Under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Troy was born January 6, 1933 in Luna Community, West Monroe and passed way at his home in West Monroe on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was retired owner of Pittsburgh Paint Store on Hudson Lane, Monroe, LA. Troy enjoyed gardening, especially trying his hand at his new hobby hydroponic gardening, raising catfish, and hunting. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Troy was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Douglas Hendrix of 68 years, grandson, Keith Hendrix, parents, Chester and Fannie Blakeney Hendrix, brothers, Rex, Ralph, Ray and Bill, sister, Barbara Nell Clauser and daughter-in-law Paula Hendrix.
Troy is survived by his children, Steven A. Hendrix and wife Beverly, Tommy G. Hendrix and wife Lanna, Alan D. Hendrix and wife Beth; grandchildren, Jason Hendrix, Angel Freeland, David Hendrix, Treasure Ritchey, Tommy Lane Hendrix and Christie Rea; 17 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Hendrix, David Hendrix, Tommy Lane Hendrix, Daniel Freeland, Jacob Hendrix and Britain Ritchey.
