Funeral services for Tony Andrew Jones, 90, of Monroe, LA will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. Don Barker and Emmy Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe. Interment will at St. Paschal’s Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Ruth Jones; father, Joseph Jones; and mother, Annie Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Jones; son, Andy Jones; grandsons, Joseph Lee Johnson, Daniel Allen Johnson; great-grandson, Evin Andrew Johnson.
Mr. Jones was born January 13, 1933 in Arcadia, LA and passed away February 27, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. Tony worked for Greene Welding Supply. He played baseball at Simsboro High School. He loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed reading his bible and meeting with his worship group. Tony was in the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955 serving as a medic in the Korean War.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Lane Christian, Daniel Johnson, Daren Alexander, Martin Lewis, Steve Cranford and Christopher Council. Honorary pallbearers will be Carson Pridgen and David Reppond.
