THOMAS E. TIMMONS Thomas E. Timmons, 84, formerly of Alexandria and Monroe, Louisiana, passed away January 2, 2008, at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was born October 6, 1923, in Oxford, Indiana, the youngest of the five children of Leroy and Mary Francis Timmons. He was employed by Cotton Brothers Baking Company for 33 years, retiring in 1983 as the Office Manager of the Monroe facility. He also performed military service in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, all of Indiana, and his son-in-law, Wendell R. Hines, of Ruby, Louisiana. His survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lucille Gentry Timmons, of the home; his daughter, Connie Hines of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Lori O?Rourke and husband Kenneth, and Mark Hines and wife Wendi; and his great-grandchildren, Sean O?Rourke, Sarah O?Rourke, and Nathan Hines, all of Parkville, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at Hebron Baptist Church, in Dry Prong, Louisiana, on January 7, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Liberty Cemetery. The Rev. Richard De Busk will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
