Our thoughts and prayers to you and your family. We have great memories of Tom.
So sorry to hear about Tom. I really enjoyed working with him. We always had plenty of sports stories to talk about.
Wilma and family - Tom will be missed, and our prayers are with you. He had a great smile and a kind and gentle personality. In business and sports he will be remembered as a true professional. Traveling with him to and from Tuscaloosa, he would always talk proudly to me about family, work and officiating. He was a good friend to many and was a mentor to his colleagues and many high school and collegiate athletes. What a proud legacy.... Rest in peace, Tom.
I was fortunate to work many football and basketball games with Tom and learned a great deal about officiating and dealing with players and coaches from him. He was a great official, teacher, mentor, leader, and friend. I will always be greatful for the his leadership and the things he taught me. Mrs. Powers, peace be with you and your family.
Dear Wilma and family, My sincerest condolences to all of you. After having worked with Tom at Cahill Co. for many years, I came to know him as a wonderful colleague, mentor and friend. He always spoke of his family with such pride. It is clear he has left us far too early. My prayers and thoughts are with you all now, and I share in your loss. Sadly, Donna Berry
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

There was no one more dedicated to the job at hand than Tom. We're gonna miss you, friend.
Thank you Lord for letting me get to know a man who had faith in a young black male. Tom "Mr.Powers" as I always called him, gave me an oppurtunity to officiate in Louisiana. When I didn't have a uniform he went out his way to make sure I made it on the field of play with it on. I appreciate Mr. Powers so very much in this one year of knowing him. Mr.Powers is an angel in my eye an also in heaven. Thank God for Mr. Tom Powers
I first met Mr. Tom four years ago when I joined officiating. He was a great mentor to me and any young official. He will be missed for a very long time. Men like Tom can't be replaced.
I share in the loss of Tom. I knew him through officiating. His dedication to that inspired me. If I can get off this weekend I will be up.
I first met John at the ULM basketball games. He was a very nice person. He will be missed at the games.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
Tom was one of the finest men I have ever known. He is responsible for helping me to become a great football official. Tom cared so much about his officials and absoutely loved what he did with football and basketball officiating. I know he also loved his wife and family very very much. He was so respected and will be deeply missed by us all. God bless you Mr. Tom!
We were sorry to learn of Tom's death tonight at the ULM basketball games. Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time. It was a priviledge to serve as a basketball official with Tom as a member of the Monroe Association. Sincerely, Rev. Charles Martindale Retired Sr. Adult Pastor First Baptist West Monroe
My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the Powers family on your loss. Tom was a mentor to so many officials and, on only the recommendation from someone he respected, was willing to take me on his AIC crew 25 years ago and open the door for me to be able to officiate college football. For that, I have always been grateful. Rest in peace, Tom, and thank you for all those you have helped.
My heart felt condolences to the family. I have known Tom since 1985 and he will be missed by many
I know words can not ease the sorrow that the Power's family must feel. I have the utmost respect for Tom and the great job he was doing with our football association. I will miss him. I will be out of town this weekend but the Power's family will be in my thoughts and prayers

I have the upmost respect for Tom and admire him for his dedication to football officiating. The officiating community will not be the same without him. But, we have great memories of him to carry into the future. May God's peace and comfort be with you.
I got to know Tom through football officiating. A fine gentleman and always ready to help in any way he could.
Ms. Wilma and Family, I want all of you to know how much Tom meant to me. He wore many hats for me. He was my assignor, mentor, and friend. He will surely be missed by us all.
