Nita Brockway Hollje & Kay Brockway Lawler left a message on June 26, 2006:
Kay and I were known as the "twins" of Bonanza. We enjoyed working for Jerry and Lynette Knight so much. And getting to know the Knight family was a blessing. Jerry will be missed. You know, it is very difficult to understand why things happen the way they do. Rest assured there is a reason and someday we may know, but not today. Why are the good ones taken from us so suddenly? God wants flowers in his garden too. Please take the time when the family is together and give opportunity to share several stories about Jerry that make you laugh, proud or simply amazed. Let those stories and thoughts form the images we remember. We only pass though this life on Earth as visitors, someday we can all reflect back on it together. We may not be OK at this time, but it is comforting to know that Jerry is just fine. Be strong for one and another and my condolence to the family. Jerri Lynn, Lynette, and Jay, I just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I read in the Paris News yesterday about Jerry's death, and I am so sorry for your loss. I remember many enjoyable family dinners at Bonanza. When my son was little, we ate there with elderly family members every Tuesday night. Lynette, you were always there to greet us and serve us with a smile. Jerri Lynn, I especially remember what a beautiful little girl you were. You were a wonderful little student and your behavior was always just about perfect. I'm sure that came from having a loving mom and dad who taught you well. I read in the paper that you have two boys and live in Detroit. I would love to see you sometime. I still live in Paris. I have many good memories of your family, and I will be thinking of you in the days ahead as you mourn the loss of your loved one. My thoughts and prayers are with you. To The Knight Family, Jerry was a joy to be around during all the years he and I worked together on charity events. He had a big heart for the underdog and truly needy. I smiled anytime I ever first come into contact with him and he was very creative and futuristic in his thinking. You all will have fond memories and a great legacy to carry on because of his influence and works here in this life. My love, thoughts and prayers go out to you all as you experience this loss of a special loved one and friend of many!!!! Respectfully, Ronnie A. Nutt Paris,Texas
