Sturgis, 82 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel -West Monroe with Bro. Bill Smith and Bro. Alan Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Sturgis was born on July 22, 1925 in Belzona, Ms. and passed away Wednesday October 31, 2007. Mrs. Sturgis was a hairdresser 48 years. Mrs. Sturgis was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Gibson Sturgis; son, Randy Sturgis; brothers, James, Alton and B.J. Morris; sisters, Susie Moore and Pearlie May Jackson. Also awaiting Nana in heaven are, grandchildren, Terry Eugene and Gerald Gibson Sturgis; great grandchildren, Joel Blake and Aaron Reed Chapman. Survivors include her son, Gene Sturgis and wife Margie of Hamburg, Arkansas; daughters, Wanda McCoy of Clinton, Ms. and Sherry White of West Monroe. sisters, Anna Lois Meyers and Elaine Nugent; grandchildren, Bennie McCoy, Mike McCoy, Cindy King, Pam Hatcher, Traci Yelton, Jessica Chapman, Jason Sturgis, Kristi Warren; great grandchildren, Andrew Pierce, Sarah McCoy, Brandon McCoy, Heather Yelton, Morgan Yelton, Skylar Bates, Rachel Chapman, Taylor Tucker, Austin Warren, Lindsey McCoy and Justin McCoy.
