Terry Foster, Sr. Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Mr. Robert “Terry” Foster, Sr. age 74, of Ruston will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Rick Byargeon and Rev. David Abernathy. Interment will follow at Camp Creek Cemetery on Hwy. 550 in Spearsville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Foster was born March 25, 1937, in Spearsville, LA, to Clayton and Farris Foster. He passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at his home in Ruston. He was a faithful member of Camp Creek Baptist Church where he led the music as a volunteer for over 50 years. When he moved to Ruston he became very active at Temple Baptist Church where he served each Sunday as a greeter. Terry was a people person who never met a stranger. He lived life to its fullest enjoying every day as a blessing from God. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Foster. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 51 years: Mary of Ruston; son Jeff Foster and wife Penny of Spearsville; daughter Jerri Abernathy and husband David of Ruston; son Robert Foster of Spearsville; mother Farris Foster of Spearsville; sister Dianne Alexander and husband Travis of Natchitoches; grandchildren Kristen and husband Mattieu; Jason; Dixie; Jonathan; and great grandchild: Brooklynn. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Abernathy, Trey Alexander, Kerry Aulds, Mattieu Bissell, Jason Ledet and Gary McCann. Honorary pallbearers will be John Foster, Charles Futch, Wayne Harris, Devayne Garris, Charles Johnson, Leonard McAdams, Ben Westerburg and also former pastors of Camp Creek Willie Cottrell, Danny Hall, Forest Post and Coy Upshaw.
