Mrs. Terri Lynn Dennard Kavanaugh Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA 71270 Funeral services for Mrs. Terri Lynn Dennard Kavanaugh, age 54, of Dubach, LA will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Methodist Church of Ruston, LA. Rev. Brian Mercer will officiate the services, assisted by Rev. Beth Love Tu'Uta and Rev. Jerry Whitman Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Interment will follow at the Colvin Cemetery in Unionville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Terri was born on December 29, 1955 and passed away on November 4, 2010 after a yearlong struggle with brain cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Maxine Dennard, her father-in-law and mother-in-Law, James and Edith Kavanaugh and a brother-in-law, John Patrick Kavanaugh. Mrs. Kavanaugh was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and Northeast LA University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Mrs. Kavanaugh was the Medical Staff Coordinator for Northern LA Medical Center and had held a similar position with HealthSouth of Ruston. She is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Jay D. Kavanaugh, her daughter, Kimberly Lynn Kavanaugh of Ruston, her son Jason David Kavanaugh of Dubach, a sister, Linda Kinnison and husband Edward, of Memphis, brother, David Dennard and wife Elaine, of Memphis, TN, brother-in-law Lee K. Kavanaugh and wife Katherine of Benton, LA and brother-in-law, Christopher R. Kavanaugh of Prarievile, LA along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Kyle Kavanaugh, Ryan Kavanaugh, Heath Miller, Dr. Bret Anderson, Mark Anderson and John Sheehan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Love, Dr. Jim Finley, Don Robbins, Larry Dennard and Ricky Farmer. The family would like to acknowledge the care and friendship from the entire Lincoln Parish medical community with whom she had a special relationship for many years. The family would also like to acknowledge Dr. Benson Grigsby and staff and Professional Hospice of Ruston for their exceptional care during her illness.
