Graveside service for Syble Hammett of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2022 at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, near Jonesboro, Louisiana. Pastor Deborah Nabors will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mrs. Hammett was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Howard Eugene Dark and Lela Eldridge Dark; husband Donald F. Hammett; daughter Sandra Ann Hammett; and numerous siblings.
Mrs. Hammett is survived by her sons Dr. Ronald F. Hammett and wife Lanette and Dr. Donald K. Hammett and wife Terri; brother Paul Felton Dark and wife Shirley; sister-in-law Merle Hammett Massey; grandchildren Sarah Hammett Cox, Daniel Hammett, Matthew Hammett, Ben Hammett, Nathan Hammett, Kelly Hammett, Katherine Dubois; 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Dubois, Nathan Hammett, Jim Cox, Matthew Hammett, Daniel Hammett and Ben Hammett.
A special thanks to Deborah Nabors for the care given to our mother.

So sorry to hear of moms passing.. I didn't know her personally, but remember all the beautiful things you two said of her when making rounds with y'all at GRMC. Be comforted by the words of a song by Casting Crown ""The Only Scars In Heaven Are On The Hands That Hold Her Now "". I feel so blessed to have worked with you both. I am sorry to hear of Mrs. Hammett's death. Though having never met her, she must have been a fine mother to sons Ronald and Donald whom I went to school with and knew for many years.
