Funeral Services for Stuart W. Lewis, 49, of Eros, LA will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Eros, LA, with Bro. Mike Barnett  and Bro. Neil Wigley officiating.  Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Eros, LA.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Stuart was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Gretchen Lewis and Morton and Juanita Hubbard.  Stuart is survived by his wife of 26 years, Christa, son, Payton, daughter, Sophie, his parents Terry & Pat Lewis, his Father-in-Law, Larry & Mother-in-Law, Susan Maxey; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

On Friday, September 10, 2021, Stuart W. Lewis, loving husband and father of 2, passed away after a lengthy illness.  Stuart was born on May 19, 1972 in Monroe, LA to Terry and Pat Lewis.  In 1994, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing & Entrepreneurship from Louisiana Tech University.   On June 2, 1995, he married the love of his life, Christa.  They raised 2 beautiful children, Payton and Sophie.  Stuart was known to us as Stu and Daddy.

Stuart, being an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed deer hunting with his hound dogs and fishing.  He also loved coaching baseball and travel softball. To many friends and players, he was known as Coach Stuart.

Stuart was a kind, selfless, loving and compassionate person.  He always had jokes to tell and quick comebacks with his witty personality.  He was loved by many and will be remembered by all.

Pallbearers are Payton Lewis, Joshua Maxey, Mac McDaniel, James Freeman, Chad Roberson and Tommy Steen.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dale DeMoss, Gary DeMoss, Kevin DeMoss, Mike DeMoss and Jim Lewis.
