Funeral services for Stephen Edward “Ed” Heard, 87, of Dubach, LA will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Dubach United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach, LA. Visitation will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston.
Ed was born March 20, 1935 to Jim and Maude Heard. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as by two brothers-William Clare Heard and Grover Allen Heard.
Ed will be dearly missed by his survivors-wife, Imogene Doss Heard; sons, Tony Edward Heard (Donna), Todd Heard (Jo), Terry Wayne Heard(Carlene) and Tracy G. Heard(Melissa)-all of Dubach, LA, and brother, Wiley Gene Heard, also of Dubach, LA.
He also leaves behind fourteen precious grandchildren-Megan Heard, Kassie Putman, Dustin Allen, Richard Heard, Becky Heard, Danielle Heard, April Heard, Sage Grear, Gage Heard, Samantha Fielder, Haley Jones, Sam Myers, Emma Heard, Nathan Anderson, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
As Ed loved his church, the family requests memorials be made to Dubach United Methodist Church, 405 Main Street, Dubach, LA, 71235.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Burnham, Darrell McAdams, and Robert Skeeter Colvin.
