Thomas A McMillan left a message on October 17, 2023:
Steve and I were friends at Sigma Chi Fraternity, Auburn University. In fact I considered him as one of my main mentors while at Auburn. I highly respected his knowledge and work ethic while there. I also worked for IPCO for a time and Steve kept an eye on me when we were both around the central design facility at Mobile. I thought about him frequently and Inge Waddle always gave me an update on Steve when we visited. I had not seen Steve for some time. He was not just a memory but a good memory and I extend my condolences to his family. Sincerely, Thomas A. McMillan

Steve was such a great guy, always so nice to me. I am so grateful for his efforts to help us renovate the Rose. It would have taken us so much longer to get in, if not for Steve. He will forever be remembered by those of us in Cotton Country Players. So sorry you’ve lost him.
