Stanley Joseph Torinese, 71, of Monroe, LA was born on December 8, 1940 in New York State and passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 in Monroe, LA. Stan was a three term veteran of the Vietnam War in the 2nd and 3rd platoon in the 1st Calvary of the U. S. Army, serving as a medic, a position that he took very seriously. He moved from Defiance, Ohio to Monroe, LA, wanting warmer weather. He retired from General Motors after 25 years working as a crane operator. Stan enjoyed volunteering at the local food banks. He had many hobbies and enjoyed meeting people. He was a very caring and loving man and would do anything to help people. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Torinese. He is survived by his wife: Tommie Boyce Torinese; Deloris and Rocco Loccisano, his sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Ray Archuleta, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; several cousins, nieces and nephews with many friends who include our dear friends, Mike and Lin Daniels who helped us meet. A visitation service will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
