Memorial services for Sidney Dwight Patton, 45, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 30, 2010 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Harold Spillers officiating and assisted by Timothy Ervin. Mr. Patton was born March 18, 1965, in Monroe and passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 in Calhoun. He was an electrician by trade. Mr. Patton was preceded in death by grandparents; Howard and Mary Jane Spillers and uncles, Elbert and Jeff Spillers and Wayne Ervin. He is survived by his son, Patrick R. Patton; mother and step-father, Anna and Pat Moody; brothers, Louie Patton and wife Cora, Sean Moody; sister, Dee Anna Gaubert and husband Thierry; nephews, Tyler Patton and Austin Moody; nieces, Meghan Patton, Cameron and Paige Gaubert, Taylie and Torrie Moody; uncles; Howard G. Spillers and wife Vel, Harold Spillers and wife Lena; aunts, Mary Ann Lenard and husband Bob, Helen Ervin.

Sidney Patton was my first childhood love. We went to school together in Ferndale WA. He was the ONLY guy my Father ever approved of!! LOL! Sidney's presence lit up a room, and he always made people laugh. I received my first box of valentine chocolates from Sidney...every valentines day thereafter...I remember him.Sidney and I lost contact after he left Ferndale and moved to Louisianna. I also moved shortly after that. The world has lost a wonderful human being, but I am living proof of the smile he placed upon many folks heart. My prayers go out to his family, along with my deepest sympathy. May all your memories of Sidney be treasured. Many Blessings, Tamy

Aunt Anna and Uncle Pat, I was devastated to hear about Sydney. I have 4 children as you do and I can't even imagine what you must be feeling besides numb. It has been well over 20 years since I have seen Sydney. I am Michelle's cousin. Our family always had a special place in our hearts for Sydney. No words that I could say would take away the pain that the family is going through right now. Just know that we are praying for all of you. Patrick, we love you, even though we dont see much of any of you. May God comfort you in this very sad time. And, remember.................there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more tears.
