Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Russell, 75, of West Monroe are at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2010, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Rev. Eugene Brown and Rev. Bob Newman will officiate. Interment follows at Kilpatrick≠s Serenity Gardens under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Russell was born June 18, 1935 in Point, LA and passed away Dec. 1, 2010 in West Monroe. She loved to cook and was known for her famous cheese straws and chicken salad. Mrs. Russell enjoyed family life with all of her family especially her grandchildren. She faithfully attended Evangel Temple Church. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Chester Russell; her daughter, Gina McCarty and husband Gary; son, Keith and wife Cindy; grandchildren Chrissy Roberts and husband Jeremy, Chris and Beth Russell; great-grandchildren, Addison McConathy, Adeline Roberts; brother, J.W. Taylor and a sister, Lois Baugh; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ryal Regan, Terry Baugh, Art Rainwater, Doug Walsworth, Allan Vestal and Jeremy Roberts. Visitation is Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA.
