Funeral services for Shirley Arlene Johnson Simpson, 74, of Farmerville, LA will be 3:00 PM Monday, February 6, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church.  Rev. Tony Walton and Rev. Dewayne Ramsey will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.  A visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM until service time at the church.

Arlene was born October 10, 1948 in Farmerville, LA and went to her heavenly home on February 3, 2023 in Farmerville, LA.  She was a Christian and member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a nursery keeper for many years. Arlene was employed with Century Tel/Century Link, Specialist 3 for approximately 25 years.  She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Cecil “Red” Johnson, Sr. and her mother, Zelphia Mae Johnson; brother, Scotty Johnson; and her father and mother-in-law, Clois and Erma Simpson.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ernest Simpson; children, Christy Albritton and husband Chris; Donna Stansbury and husband John; Brittany Walton and husband Ben; grandchildren, John Russell Stansbury, Morgan Albritton, Nicholas Albritton, Randall Stansbury, and Lindsay Walton; brother, Henry Johnson Jr. and wife Laurie; sisters, Brenda Black and husband Rex and Angie Murphy and husband Mike; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Russell Stansbury, Morgan Albritton, Nicholas Albritton, Randall Stansbury, Timmy Stockle, and Devin Doster.

The family would like to thank Elara Hospice, Louisiana Hospice, and Arbor Lake Staff for their love and care of Ms. Arlene during this time.
