Funeral services for Shelly Saxon, 51, of Calhoun, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Rev. Clovis Sturdivant and Rev. Marty Black will officiate and interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Shelly was born on June 28, 1971 in Monroe and passed away in West Monroe on August 27, 2022. She had a passion for darts, loved being a grandmother, and summer vacations with her daughters. She was preceded in death by her aunts, Beverly, Yvonne, Joyce, Rita and Bobbie.
Shelly is survived by her daughters, Marah Greenwood (Jaden), Haley Spencer (Cody); parents, Larry and Rosiland Hale Saxon; grandchildren, Jada Spencer and Kaden Spencer; special relatives, The Walker Family, The Mobley Family and The Hathaway Family; special friends, John, Kevin, and Shawn Peoples and her furry friend, Marlie and many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Walker, Mitch Walker, Dillion Walker, Keith Williams, Terry Kelly, and James Spillers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Neal, Gary Funderburk, Nelson Goss, and Robbie Milstead.
