Graveside services for Sharon Rebecca Sowell Chatham, 86, will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, February 2, 2024 with Matt Griffith and Roger Waggoner, Jr. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Chatham, LA officiating under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Sharon was born September 10, 1937 in Monroe, LA to James Louis Sowell, Sr. and Katie Belle Vaughn Sowell who preceded her in death. She  passed away January 30, 2024 with her husband of 69 years by her side. They had a beautiful life together. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother James Louis (Sonny) Sowell, Jr.

Sharon’s life will forever be cherished by her husband Donald Wayne Chatham, Sr.; children, Mike (Sallie) Chatham, Donna (Roger) Waggoner, Lewis (Regina) Chatham, Bonnie (Kenneth) Womack, Wayne (Alecia) Chatham, DeeAnn (Terry) Waggoner; sister Mary Belle Greer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon will continue to live through the memories of her children and grandchildren. She was a beloved grandmother to twenty grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
