We are sad to announce the passing of Sharon Melvin of Winnsboro. She passed away unexpectedly at the age of 53 on October 11, 2022.

Sharon is survived by her 2 sons, Jarvis and wife Lindsay Melvin, son, Samuel, 1; Cody and wife Karen Melvin, daughter, Caroline; her step children Destiny Miles and son Cannon; and Dustin and Chelsea Kline; her sister, Kendra Robertson; her niece, Brittany Terry, husband Jeremy, and children Logan and Sophia; her nephew Gary Wayne Robertson and daughter Joslyn; mother, Nadine Wilson; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Sharon is preceded in death by her former husband, Charles Miles; father, Kenneth Wilson; sister, Kathern; brother-in-law Jerry “Buster” Robertson; maternal grandparents John Tatum and Ione Tatum Rainey; paternal grandparents Otis Hunt and Doris Jordan.

Sharon was passionate about her family, especially her sons, grandchildren, and dogs. Although not able to do so in her last few years, she loved outdoor activities, especially mud riding, hunting, camping, and spending time with family and friends outdoors.

A small private ceremony for immediate families was held to honor her memory and celebrate her life.
