Services for Sarah E. Hanna Taylor of Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 11, 2021 in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Monroe. Rev. Tommy Frost will officiate. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until service time at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Sarah was born near Ruston in Lincoln Parish. She received her early education in Ruston. She completed her Master’s of Education degree and additional hours of advanced education at what is now the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Sarah was a teacher, supervisor, Reading Specialist and evaluator in the Monroe City School System for over 23 years and was an active member of several professional organizations.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 57 ½ years, Richard “Dick” Copeland Taylor and her parents, Steve Thomas Hanna and Shirley Elliott Hanna.
Survivors are: son, Hank Hanna Taylor and his wife June Smith Taylor of Friendsville, TN; daughter, Sally Ann Taylor Holler and her husband George Hampton Holler of Folsom, LA; grandsons, Barry Wayne Taylor and his wife Denise Deglandon Taylor of Hutto, TX and George Taylor Holler and his wife Dana Hepting Holler of Waxahachie, TX ; granddaughter, Christa Renee Aranda and her husband Marc Aranda of Manheim, PA; great-grandsons, Blake Weston Taylor and Beau Wyatt Taylor of Hutto, TX and Nathan Holler of Waxahachie, TX; great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Taylor Holler, Hanna Alexis Holler, Skylar Ashlyn Holler, Rylin Athena Holler and Faith Augustine Holler, all of Waxahachie, TX.
