Funeral services for Sandra Matthews, 70, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 28, 2024 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until service time under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

Sandra was born April 15, 1953 in Lamesa, Texas and passed away March 23, 2024 in Monroe, LA. Mom loved to cook and enjoyed raising babies and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Alvin Matthews; parents Joseph Chester Goolsby and Bertha Ellen Goolsby; siblings Loretta Matthews, Ruby McKibben, Ruth Ann Brown, Linda Brown, Billie Wooten, Alfred Goolsby and Ricky Goolsby.

Sandra is survived by her children, Steven Scott Matthews, Jamie Lum and husband Bo Lum, Christopher Matthews and wife Hillarai Matthews; 5 grandchildren Josie Matthews, Dakota Matthews, Michelle Matthews, Alandra Singson and Harlea Kay Lum; 2 great-grandchildren Luna Eve Nicole Thurston and Riley Rayne McMillon; sister Martha Hemphill; brother John Matthews and wife Debra Matthews.
