Sandra Kaye Sullivan Wolfe Merritt, age 72, of West Monroe, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 3, 2023. She was born on August 4, 1951, in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late James Andrew Sullivan and Billie Faye Harbison Sullivan Jones.
Sandra was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Michael Merritt. She was a proud mother to her children, Tony Jones, Karla Rene’ Wolfe Foster, Melissa Wolfe Steven, Jennifer Wolfe-Brown and their spouses Kathy, Kevin and Fredrick; step-sons Jamey Merritt and Joel Merritt, respectively. Sandra cherished her role as Mamaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren, Karl James Wolfe, Tabitha Rene’ Hughes, Jacob Cook, Averi LaRue Steven, Landri Kaye Steven, Jordan Lee Wolfe, Cheznee Jean Burse, Dane Jones and Matty Jones; as well as her great-grandchildren, Vanessa Kline and William Beau Kline. Sandra also leaves behind numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews, who were all dear to her heart. Sandra enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including reading, sewing, quilting, crafting, and gardening. These activities brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity.
Sandra attended Greenville High School and later pursued higher education at Rasmussen College in Minneapolis, MN.
Sandra’s memorial service will be held at Ouachita Baptist Church, 824 Highway 3033, West Monroe, LA 71292, on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Visitation will begin at 3 P.M., followed by the memorial service under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Sandra Kaye Sullivan Wolfe Merritt will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warm and caring nature, along with her love for her family and pets, will be cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A special thank you to her pastor Bro.
