Bonnie Stokes left a message on February 3, 2007:
Dear Mary Virginia and Jane, You and your families are in our prayers. Your dad was always incredibly kind through the years to us. First, as were children, then through the teen years, and even as we grew to be adults he expressed an interest in our lives and found something encouraging to say to us when we talked. I know he will be missed as the "best neighbor" and for many more reasons too many to list. He loved his family to the max so I know the separation for all of you will be huge but I pray you will be comforted in knowing he is the presence of the Lord. May the preciousness of His life make wonderful memories to hold on to in the days ahead. Bonnie Stokes and family
