Sally Ely Teagle was born in Longview Texas on August 12, 1939 and departed this life on January 8, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Erma Ely and by her son, Stephen Teagle. Sally is survived by her daughter, Sarah Teagle of Shreveport, Louisiana and son John Teagle of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Kristen Lambrecht was her best friend and constant companion for 20 years.
Sally graduated from The University of Texas in 1961 and loved talking about her college experience. She had a true love for classical music and the arts and had the ability to put things together with class and style. She was able to utilize her education throughout life with successful business ventures.
Sally resided in Monroe, Louisiana for the past 20 years, retired in 2005 and enjoyed life at home caring for her beloved pets. She enjoyed extensive travel and was always ready for an adventure. She was diagnosed with dementia at the end of 2018 and spent her last two years enjoying her daughter and granddaughter Honor Teagle, puzzling, painting and eating at their favorite pizza hangout on Saturday. She enjoyed eating out with friends and family, cruising the Caribbean and enjoying the ability to be cared for at home with the help of her now very special friend Jean Foster.
She fought this battle with style and grace just as you would expect from Sally and stayed active until the past few months. Sally left a legacy of loving life and meeting each day with no sadness. Fly high and rest in peace Sally.
A memorial date in the spring to be announced.
