Funeral services for Ruth Street Haddox, 73, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. Dr. Woods Watson will officiate, and she will be laid to rest at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Ruth, a cherished mama, wife, granny, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away March 11, 2023. Ruth was born in Monroe, Louisiana August 17, 1949. She was such a sincerely caring person, and if you had the privilege to spend time with her, you knew the quiet, but genuine love she held close for those in her life. Ruth was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe, a member of the First West Choir, and her life group, which meant so much to her. Even when she wasn’t fellowshipping with other believers, friends, and family, you could find dozens of Bible studies and daily devotions throughout her home. Ruth was devoted to studying and living the way Jesus taught.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kyle Ceveil Haddox; father, Monroe Charlie Street; mother, Carrie Mae Stennett Street; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ruth is survived by her only daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Traweek and husband Todd; two grandchildren, Dr. Tanner Traweek, Chelsea Reynolds and husband Ryan; their upcoming baby (her first great grandson), Reese James Reynolds; her loving sister, Janice Hart; loving brother, Charles Street and wife Liz; nephews, Tommy Street, Glen Street, Chuck Street, Forrest Street, Charlie Hart and their families; dear friend, Janice Glover; and many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Traweek, Ryan Reynolds, Chuck Street, Glen Street, Wade Hathaway, Mickey Traweek, Charlie Hart, and Todd Traweek.
