Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Kennedy, 76, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel-West Monroe with Rev. Wesley Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Farmerville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home- West Monroe. Mrs. Kennedy, a retired homemaker, was born on May 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, MS, and died June 8, 2007 in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Neese and Eva Shavers, her son, Butch Wallace and her sister, Effie Price. Survivors include her husband, Woodie Kennedy, daughter; Georgia Osborn and husband Charles, granddaughters; Peggy Moore and husband Scott, Michelle Clay and husband Marvin, grandsons; Bryan Osborn, Steven Wallace, great granddaughter; Heather Wedgeworth, great grandsons; Brent Moore, Daniel Wedgeworth, D.J. Evans, great great granddaughter; Jasmine Wedgeworth, and great great grandson; Jonathan French, sisters; Bonnie Hollis, Helen Helms, Shirley Slawson, Carrie Massey, Barbara Kirk, Ann Easterling, and June Atkinson. Pallbearers will be Bryan Osborn, Brent Moore, Chris Walker, Ray Craighead, Bobby Joe Edney and John Pardue. Honorary Pallbearers will be D.J. Evans and Daniel Wedgeworth.
