Funeral services for Ruby Hellen Jones Nations, 82, of West Monroe, LA formerly of Woodworth, LA, will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, May 13, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. David Craun and Rev. Ricky Bonnett will be officiating. Interment will follow at 3pm Monday, May 13, 2013 at Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Alexandria, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Ruby was born June 5, 1930 in Mansfield, LA to the late Oscar and Thelma Jones. She was married to Stuart Nations of West Monroe, LA. Ruby spent 30 years as the head cook at the Assemblies of God Campground in Woodworth, LA. Her duties there were running the kitchen, cooking, training and counseling. She loved her job and made lifelong impressions on the kids and adults that came through her kitchen. Ruby was totally and radically devoted to Christ her Savior. She served in a number of churches over the years in the children's department and the kitchen. Ruby is survived by her husband of 65 years, Stuart Powell Nations; by her son Michael Nations and wife Pam; by daughters Peggy Nations and her friend Rick, Cathy Kelley and husband Ronnie; by brothers Raymond Jones ad wife Bobbie, Charles Jones and wife Janie and Marvin Jones; by her grandchildren, Jennifer Mason and husband Brett, Kevin Nations and wife Robin, Tanya Kelley and her fiance' Tim, Joshua Kelley and wife Melissa, Casey Norris and wife Dorothy, Amy Henstra and husband Sam. Great-grandchildren; Claice Harris and fiance' Ian, Beth Vallery, Nick Machen, Remi Nations, Atticus Nations, Dylan Willis, Gunner Pauley, Shooter Pauley, Kassidy Kelley, Logan Norris, Riley Henstra, Katie Henstra and Ellie Henstra; great-great grandchildren, Malachi Harris and Xhi Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Oscar and Archie Jones. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
