Funeral services for Ruby Cole 82 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 19, 2013 at Fair Park Baptist Church. Rev. R.C. Smith and Rev. Darris Waren will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Ruby was born June 26, 1931 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away July 16, 2013 in West Monroe. She was a member of Fair Park Baptist Church for 56 years and devoted her life to her family. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Fred O. Cole, Jr., a daughter, Vickie Lynn Cole Reid and son-in-law, John C. Reid, Jr.; parents, Lawrence and Susie Hedgepeth ; a brother, James Hedgepeth and a sister, Eugenia Carr. Ruby is survived by 3 children; Wanda Cole Rhodes and husband Randy, Fred O. Cole III and wife Donnice and Carol “Bunny” Cole Smith and husband Jerry; 2 sisters, Mary Harnwell and Nell Newman; 4 grandchildren, Shea Rhodes Curtis, Grant Rhodes, Kelly Morgan and Reilly Taylor Smith. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Vickie, I am so very sorry you snd your sweet sisters had to say goodbye to your Mom. We haven't seen each other in many many years but I have prayed for her since seeing her name on the prayer list at our church, and would remember you, Vickie and Bunny as well. I will be praying for you all in the days and weeks to come knowing this is such a tremendous loss for you and praying God's tender love will comfort you. I know she is whole and new again in Heaven with our Heavenly Father, as well as with our earthly fathers. I would love to hear from you sometime and know where you are now if you can drop me an e-mail and how you are doing. I live just about a mile from your Mom's place!
