Funeral services for Major Roy N. Naron, 73, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Rev. Tommy Stroud will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Major Naron was born November 14, 1936, in West Monroe, LA and passed away on October 30, 2010 in West Monroe. He was a member of LA Peace Officers Association, Municipal Police Officers Association, W.M. Police Association, W.M. Police Unit Commander, and a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe. He was a West Monroe Police Officer with over 50 years of service. Mr. Naron was preceded in death by his parents, James Frank Naron, Sr. and Gertie Perkins Naron, and a sister, Sharon Naron Smith. He is survived by his wife, Frances McCarty Naron; sons, Roy Naron, Jr. and wife, Jewel, Christian Naron, Mark Naron and wife, Beverly, Terry Naron and wife, Lisa; sisters, Shirley Naron Ferree, Sylvia Naron Baxter; brothers, Lewis Naron and James Naron Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. West Monroe Police Officers will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be 5:00~8:00 PM on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
