Funeral services for Roy Lively will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2011 at Clark Springs Baptist Church. Dr. Bart McMillan, Rev. Benny Jones and Rev. Mickey Hudnall will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Roy was born June 17, 1932 in Rayville, LA and passed away March 8, 2011 at his home in Eros, LA. He was a member of Clark Springs Baptist Church and Louisiana Free Mason Calhoun Chapter. Roy retired as a heavy equipment operator for Local 406 Operating Engineers. Some of Roy's favorite pastimes was duck hunting with friends and family, watching grandchildren play sports and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy Lively and Mattie Lenore Medlin. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise May Lively; daughters, Brenda Lively and Linda Lively ; sons, Royce Lively and B.J. Lively; and a sister, Iva Lively Keen; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Jones, Jimmy Hart, Greg Eppinette, Cory York, Ed Takewell, Mark Tucker and Mickey Hooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Edwards, Ed Fleming, Wayne Fleming, Jim York, Ray Cook, William Guyton, Sam Yeager and Chuck Cook. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clark Springs Baptist Church.
