Had opportunity to work with Roy at Kirby and had known him since early 80’s. Good fellow with a lot of knowledge that came in handy in keeping the Towboats moving. He joins a great crew of ole marine friends, I imagine they got him in the galley. Godspeed and Peace Roy.

I know him as Uncle Roy and he was a good, caring, loving man. I know he loved his family very much. He would always make himself available when people were in a crisis and needed help. I know this because he helped out our family many of times when needed. There was nothing Uncle Roy couldn'd do or figure out. Went to Six Flags many times & Disney World once with him & Gail when I was young. He was the only man I knew that could cook biscuits in a cardboard box & man could he cook. I will miss you Uncle Roy & I will meet you again. Van Patterson

Roy was a true friend and one who loved his community. He will be remembered well by the Fisher Ferry Volunteer Fire Department and the Warren County volunteer fire service for his untiring dedication. Rest in Peace Chief Baker.
