ROSALYN GEORGIA WILSON Rosalyn Georgia Wilson, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born October 25, 1928 in Houston, Texas. Rosalyn graduated from Milby High School and attended the University of Houston. She was married to Jesse Robert Wilson of Arcadia who passed away August 3, 2000. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Allen Lloyd Habermacher & Evelyn Gallishaw Habemacher. Rosalyn was a member of Norma D. Allen Chapter of O.E.S. and served as Worthy Matron. She was also Mother Advisor to the Garden Villas Chapter of Rainbow. When she and “Bob” retired to his family home they transferred their membership in Eastern Star to the Dubach Chapter. They fulfilled their lifelong dreams of traveling in their trailer to numerous campsites leaving a trail of friends along the way. They were devoted members of Salem Methodist Church where she was a longtime member of the U.M.W. Rosalyn’s favorite ministry was that of writing cards “just to let you know someone is thinking and praying for you”, Everyone who knew Rosalyn could always count on receiving “the good news” from one of her cards that she so faithfully sent. She also shared her love by the wonderful food she prepared for others. Rosalyn was also known for her patriotism and was very proud and honored to be married to a veteran. She is survived by her brothers and their wives: Wayne Habermacher & Nita of Houston, Texas and Stephen Habermacher & Judith of Cypress, Texas. She is also survived by her daughters: Mary Elizabeth Allen of Ruston who cared for her and Susan Walker Benson & husband Rick of Galveston, Texas. Her granddaughter: Rochelle Leigh Nugent of Simsboro who also cared for her, Joshua Robert Allen & wife Lori of Ruston, Sean Christopher Walker & wife Chrissy of Galveston, Texas. Rosalyn’s great- grandchildren are April, Ethan, Jenna, Gavin, Cameron, Paloma & Sage & Hadley who is due in September. She is also survived by cousins, nieces & nephews and her dear friends. The family wishes to express their love and gratitude for care extended by Dr. Osafo, the nursing staff at Green Clinic, and Professional Hospice with special thanks to her nurse Rose Spencer. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at Salem Cemetery in Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Danny Baskin. Pallbearers are Wayne Habermacher, Stephen Habermacher, James Lewellyan, Sean Walker, Joshua Allen & Rick Benson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the charity of one’s choice.
