Mr. Ronald Lane Thompson Funeral services for Ronald Lane Thompson, 49, of Downsville, LA., will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville with Rev. Louis Bartet officiating. Interment will follow at Wilhite Cemetery in Point under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Lane was the owner of Lane Thompson Motorsports of Downsville, LA. He was born on December 7, 1961 in Shreveport, LA., and passed away on June 10, 2011 at his residence in Downsville, LA. Lane lived life to the fullest every minute of his 49 years. He was always seeking his next big adventure. He loved auto racing, boat racing, motorcycles, and 4 wheel rock climbing. He was a true dare devil at heart, but more than fast engines he loved to make people laugh. He was quite the entertainer. Within moments of entering a group the laughter would begin and continue until he left. Lane had a heart of gold and was quick to help people in need. He will be deeply missed by his family and many, many friends. Survivors include his son, Spencer Kane Thompson of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Cheyenne Jordan of West Monroe, LA; father, Ronald G. Thompson and wife Charlotte of West Monroe, LA; mother, Sarah Brasfield Wilhite and husband Frank of West Monroe, LA; sister, Ronda Thompson Hinton and husband Eddie of Point, LA; brother, Chip Thompson and wife Dana of West Monroe, LA; two nephews, Caleb Hinton and Tyler Thompson; niece, Madison Thompson and special adopted mother Ruth Bailey of Downsville, LA. Pallbearers are D.K. Alford, Buster Guice, Scotty Case, Michael Moody, Jay Zagone, Chip Thompson, and Mike West. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Dalton and Robert Thompson.
