Funeral services for Ronald Gene Underwood, Sr., 71, of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 22, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Ronald was born July 2, 1950 in Monroe, LA and passed away October 18, 2021 in Monroe, LA. He was a self-employed concrete finisher. Ronald loved to mud ride and enjoyed the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, G.E. Underwood, Sr. and Ouida Underwood; sisters, Audrey Coughran, Sara Jane Lawrence, Gladys Gilbert, Etta Tolbert and Mary Balsamo; brothers, Charles Underwood and Marvin Underwood.

Ronald  is survived by his 2 sons Ronald Gene “Bubba” Underwood, Jr. and Scott Gosdin and wife Kayla; 2 step-daughters Amy Foster and Christy McKnight; 3 granddaughters, Alexis Underwood, Rayleigh Underwood and Chloe Cox; 4 sisters, Pauline Lawrence, Annie Balsamo, Joyce Dupree and Faye Balsamo; brother, G.E. Underwood, Jr. and wife Barbara; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randy Balsamo, T.J. Balsamo, Hank Chriceol, Michael Tedeton, Jason Garner and Michael Woodson.
