Dear Thomas Family, I was a teacher at WMHS during Roland's tenure there as head of the janitorial staff and I got to know him in casual conversations while on duty, working at football games, chaperoning dances, etc. He was a very friendly, outgoing person and would often tell us a good joke as well as funny stories of real events that he had witnessed. If he ever had a bad day, you could not tell it from his demeanor. He did his job well and I think I told him so. He seemed to enjoy his job. I respected and liked him very much. My prayer for your family is that God will give you His peace and that you will have many precious and happy memories to help you in the sad days ahead. In Sincere Sympathy, Camille Adair,Retired WMHS Teacher

When you mention the name Mr. Roland Thomas, two things come to mind...&th street baseball park and that huge ring of keys that hung from his belt. I haven't seen him in many years, but he will be missed. May god bless and keep you in this hour of need.
