Stan Vickrey left a message on August 27, 2020:
So sorry to hear of Robert's passing. What a wonderful guy. My business relationship with Robert goes back to 1976, when after graduating from LA Tech and having difficulties finding my first job, Robert saw something in me that others didn't and gave me my first break in finance with GECC. He hired me as a field representative/manager trainee in the Shreveport regional office and I was so grateful. I stayed with GECC until they consolidated the company regions into one out of New Orleans. I left GECC at that time and stayed in Shreveport and became a petroleum landman. I will be forever thankful for Robert giving me my first break and getting to know him, although our paths haven't crossed in years. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time.

So sorry for your loss. Ran into RV at a lot of ballgames a few years ago but had not seen him in a while. Good guy. Also knew him in high school
