Graveside services for Robert Heisler will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 11, 2021 at Beulah Church Cemetery Calhoun, LA. with Mark Joiner officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

On October 7, 2021 Robert Lee Heisler of Sterlington, LA passed away at the age of 70. He was surrounded by the people that meant the most to him as he left his pain and suffering behind. Robert retired from the U. S Army and Louisiana Army National Guard OMS III where he served his country with pride. Being a veteran was something he carried proudly and loved to share his stories. He worked alongside his son Brian, grandson Chris, and bonus son Mitch among others with Plunks Wrecker. This to them was more than work, it was family. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend will be missed. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Simmie Lee Heisler and Frances Vanita Helton; siblings, Mark Freeman, Cheryl Freeman, Mike Heisler and Reggie Heisler.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Ann Slack-Heisler;  daughter Christy LaShea Spillers and husband Donnie; son Brian Lee Heisler and wife Raegen; grandsons, Christopher Lee Heisler, Ethan Lee Heisler, Dalton Gage Lee; granddaughters,  Kaylee Marie Heisler, Anna Slack, Melaney Slack, Loralie Olvey and Cheyenne Olvey; great-granddaughter Sophia Bogle; bonus daughters Kim Bley, Linda Hunt (Mitchell), Debora Hindmon (Dan); bonus son Mike Slack (Lisa); siblings,  James W. Freeman, Jr., Carrie Stuckey, Diana Kamara, Kenneth Helton and Randy Heisler; the mother of his children Jean Heisler; so many dear friends that were more like family. Friends and family were what Robert held closest to his heart.

Pallbearers will be Brian Lee Heisler, Christopher Lee Heisler, Dalton Gage Lee, Ethan Lee Heisler and Donald M. Spillers, Jr. and Mitchell G. Hunt.
